Headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Canada Petrozyme Technologies treats the oily wastes generated by petroleum refining operations. The company's core competency lies in industrial microbiology and the application of fermentation technology to industrial waste streams.

Through research and development the company has developed the Petrozyme Process, a biological reactor process for the degradation of the hydrocarbon components of refinery wastes. This process is currently operating successfully at a major refinery, treating in excess of 1,000 cubic meters of oily waste per month.
